Grete Thingelstad is Deputy Director General of FK Norway, responsible for communication, strategic analysis and administrative services. FK Norway http://www.fredskorpset.no/en/ is part of an international movement of exchange and cross-border volunteering for development. As an integrated element of Norwegian development cooperation, FK promotes reciprocal exchanges between a diverse range of institutions and organizations globally. The purpose is to foster mutual learning, youth leadership and change for the common good.
Through FK, Grete has 12 years of experience from facilitating and training professionals and volunteers on exchange between institutions in Norway, Asia and Africa. For 15 years she held management positions in various research institutes in Norway, including the International Institute for Peace Research (PRIO), the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), and on the international programme Training for Peace in Southern Africa.
