Dondon, as he is fondly called in the NGO world, currently sits in the board of IAVE Philippines as head of the training and research committee. With his 20 year-extensive experience in community development, he is now part of the GPF International, Alllights Village (ALV) development office as one of the Program Development Officers. In the Philippines, he’s part of the GPF team in implementing ALV in disaster-stricken areas in the Visayas region, not just to organize communities but also involving youth to become local volunteer leaders. Before GPF, he was the National Director of Service for Peace (SFP) Philippines, an organization that promotes Peace through service-learning experience. He used to be the Director for partnerships and volunteer management for Hands On Manila Foundation, Inc., the first international affiliate of Hands On Network USA generated by Points of Lights Institute, where he still serve as a consultant. He is also a member of the pool of evaluators for the Philippine Council on NGO certification (PCNC), an organization that evaluates non-profit organizations in the Philippines to become a donee institution. He started his social development work as a grassroots community organizer for 7 years at Gratia Plena Social Action Center (SAC-GP), an organization that is into agri-business and social entrepreneurship by building federations of farmers associations advocating organic farming.
